Second Grade Artist used Grey paper and folded it in half to make a symmetrical cut for the beginning of their castle. They used the scraps from the first cut to make the side towers. They could use other scraps to build onto their castle as well. We learned interesting cutting techniques to add pop open windows and doors. We learned how to draw a basic dragon to add to the castle with other fairy tale elements. We tried to add shadows as well to the bricks, some are more obvious than others! Still working on perfecting this lesson.....they are pretty great though!
