First Grade Rainbow Robots

First Grade students viewed and discussed a collection of Nam June Paik's robot sculptures. They used geometric shapes to build the first part of their drawings and then added details with a variety of shapes and line designs. Students had to think of a job that their robots could help them with; some robots help them paint, some to jump rope, some to clean their rooms and others to do their homework. They colored with crayons and painted the background using the rainbow colors in correct ROYGBIV order.

Some of my favorite pieces yet!
