In fourth grade we viewed and discussed the work of Henri Matisse. We created our background by cutting a variety of shapes with regular scissors and some with crazy line scissors. We used Wooden Mannequins to draw the shapes for our people and cut them in the style of the Matisse collage,
La Negresse to show spaces in between. Students completed their work by adding some interesting tribal clothes. I found this project on Deep Space Sparkle. Enjoy!
